The HTWU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Its envelope centers on a 8-inch diameter shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as HTWU87-24. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
