The HTWU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and HTWU86-64 applies that design to high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. The configuration measures 8 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 77-1/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 41 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes industrial process heating, high-temperature hot water distribution, and campus and district energy systems.
