Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n HTWU107-65 as shown on this page.
Configured for high-temperature water heating, HTWU107-65 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the HTWU range. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89-3/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 80 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in converter duty on HTHW loops, campus and district energy systems, and high-temperature hot water distribution.
