Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n HTWU107-45 as shown on this page.
this configuration is a HTWU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89-3/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 96 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes campus and district energy systems, industrial process heating, and converter duty on HTHW loops. This build is designated HTWU107-45.
