SU64-2

Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 52-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 17.39 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in instantaneous domestic water heating, swimming pool heating, and building comfort heating. This build is designated SU64-2.
