Built around a removable U-tube bundle, SU309-6 delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 30 inches across the shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 134-11/16 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 1195 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
