Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 26 inches across the shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 130-3/16 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 912 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU268-4. Installations range across building comfort heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
