Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 26-inch shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 136-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 935 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU268-2. Standard construction uses steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating.
