For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 26-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 88-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 488 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU264-2. Standard construction uses steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are swimming pool heating, building comfort heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
