A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 20-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 73-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 314 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating. This build is designated SU205-4.
