SU167-4

SU167-4 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 16 inches across the shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 93-5/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 254 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
