Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n HTWU64-43 as shown on this page.
Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers high-temperature water heating for demanding service. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 52-1/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 17.39 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated HTWU64-43. Typical duty includes converter duty on HTHW loops, campus and district energy systems, and industrial process heating.
