HTWU1210-44

A removable U-tube bundle gives HTWU1210-44 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of HTWU equipment in high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. The configuration measures 12 inches across the shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 126 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 200 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across converter duty on HTHW loops, industrial process heating, and high-temperature hot water distribution.
