High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 113-3/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 124 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as HTWU109-45. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
