WU228-4

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and WU228-4 applies that design to liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 22 inches across the shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 134-5/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 630 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hydronic HVAC converters, condensate cooling, and pool and storage-tower heating.
