For liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 80-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 119 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated WU126-46. Common applications are hydronic HVAC converters, oil cooling and snow melting, and condensate cooling.
