Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 80-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 126 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU126-26. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
