Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, WU125-66 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 68-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 85 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in oil cooling and snow melting, condensate cooling, and hydronic HVAC converters.
