Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Its envelope centers on a 12-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 68-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 98 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across oil cooling and snow melting, condensate cooling, and pool and storage-tower heating. This build is designated WU125-46.
