CHXS424-4S

Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, CHXS424-4S delivers compact liquid cooling in corrosive service for demanding service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 4-inch shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 27-5/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 14.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, deionized and treated water cooling, and hydraulic and lube oil cooling.
