GC64-30

this configuration is a GC gas cooler unit built on a removable straight-tube bundle for water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Its envelope centers on a 6-inch diameter shell, 51-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 1000°F maximum temperature. This build is designated GC64-30. Installations range across compressor discharge gas cooling, process gas cooling, and blower and vapor cooling duty. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
