Built around a removable straight-tube bundle, this configuration delivers water-cooled gas cooling for demanding service. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 99-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are blower and vapor cooling duty, industrial gas conditioning, and compressor discharge gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams. The resulting model number is 5-153-10-099-004.
