ACF-37

Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, this configuration delivers compressed air aftercooling for demanding service. Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. Shell dimensions vary by size within this configuration in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are small and mid-size compressor packages, compressor discharge aftercooling, and instrument and shop air conditioning. Steel tubesheets and baffles with 1/4-inch copper tubes keep the assembly compact, and the fixed-tubesheet design holds overall length within 50 inches. The resulting model number is ACF-37.
