ACF-410

A fixed-tubesheet bundle gives ACF-410 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of ACFR aftercooler equipment in compressed air aftercooling. Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. Shell dimensions vary by size within this configuration in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in compressor discharge aftercooling, instrument and shop air conditioning, and moisture and oil removal from plant air. Steel tubesheets and baffles with 1/4-inch copper tubes keep the assembly compact, and the fixed-tubesheet design holds overall length within 50 inches.
