Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. Shell dimensions vary by size within this configuration in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are moisture and oil removal from plant air, instrument and shop air conditioning, and small and mid-size compressor packages.
