The ACA aftercooler platform pairs a removable straight-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to compressed air aftercooling. Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across compressor discharge aftercooling, moisture and oil removal from plant air, and pneumatic tool and instrument air conditioning. A floating rear tubesheet lets the bundle expand freely and pull for cleaning, and full-size air connections hold pressure drop down. The resulting model number is 5-155-08-081-004.
