Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 72-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-155-08-081-003. Installations range across compressed air dryer pre-cooling, compressor discharge aftercooling, and moisture and oil removal from plant air.
