The TCS/TCW tank heater platform pairs a two-pass U-bend bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Physically, the unit runs a 4-inch shell, 42-inch shell length, and roughly 41-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 8 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as TCW-442. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets.
