The TCS/TCW tank heater platform pairs a two-pass U-bend bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, and roughly 40-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 27 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-276-08-042-001.
