A two-pass U-bend bundle gives 5-275-10-030-001 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of TCS/TCW tank heater equipment in in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 30-inch shell length, and roughly 29-3/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 34.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
