For in-tank heating with steam in the tubes, the TCS/TCW tank heater line offers a two-pass U-bend bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Physically, the unit runs a 4-inch shell, 12-inch shell length, and roughly 11-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 2.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated TCS-412.
