Configured for in-tank heating with steam in the tubes, 5-270-06-048-001 carries the two-pass U-bend bundle construction that defines the TCS/TCW tank heater range. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Its envelope centers on a 6-inch diameter shell, and roughly 45-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 17.39 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are boiler feed and condensate tanks, hot water storage tanks, and wash-down and sanitation water storage.
