Built around a two-pass U-bend bundle, this configuration delivers in-tank heating with steam in the tubes for demanding service. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, and roughly 39-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 15 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in process tank heating, hot water storage tanks, and wash-down and sanitation water storage. This build is designated 5-270-06-042-001.
