Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 88-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 31.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU67-4. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
