SU67-2

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and SU67-2 applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 6 inches across the shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 88-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 31.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
