SU304-4

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and SU304-4 applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 30-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 77-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 529 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are instantaneous domestic water heating, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating.
