this configuration is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 28 inches across the shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 114-5/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 848 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across building comfort heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating. This build is designated SU287-2.
