A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 28-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 94-1/16 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 661 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU286-6. Installations range across radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating.
