SU286-2

A removable U-tube bundle gives SU286-2 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 28-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 102-5/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 717 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and building comfort heating.
