The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 28-inch shell unit, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 142-1/16 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 1142 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU2810-6. The build specifies steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
