Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 24-inch diameter shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 103-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 572 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating. This build is designated SU246-4.
