Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 24-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 94 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 490 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and building comfort heating. This build is designated SU245-2.
