SU244-2

Built around a removable U-tube bundle, SU244-2 delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 24-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 82 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 394 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are instantaneous domestic water heating, swimming pool heating, and building comfort heating. Stainless steel shells, 90/10 copper-nickel or stainless tubes, and cast bronze or 316 stainless bonnets are available where water quality demands it.
