The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 24-inch shell unit, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 154 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 969 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU2410-2. Material selection covers steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in building comfort heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
