SU209-6

SU209-6 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 20-inch shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 121-3/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 528 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are N/A on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. Typical duty includes swimming pool heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and radiant panel and snow-melt converters.
