Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n SU206-6 as shown on this page.
A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 20-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 85-3/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 355 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are N/A on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and building comfort heating. This build is designated SU206-6.
