For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 20-inch diameter shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 61-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 259 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are instantaneous domestic water heating, building comfort heating, and radiant panel and snow-melt converters. This build is designated SU204-2.
