SU189-4

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and SU189-4 applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 120-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 435 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are building comfort heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
