Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n SU187-2 as shown on this page.
Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 96-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 339 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating. This build is designated SU187-2.
