For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 14 inches across the shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 68-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 145 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in instantaneous domestic water heating, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating. This build is designated SU145-2.
